Sustainability

Perfection can be overwhelming and may discourage people from taking action. However, we don't need everyone to be perfect in order to live sustainably. It's more important for millions of people to do their best, even if it's not perfect. The fashion industry, which is the 4th largest in the world, contributes to pollution and waste through high consumption. While it would be ideal for brands to produce nothing, this is not realistic as many people rely on the industry for their livelihood. Therefore, we must find long-term solutions that prioritize ethical and safe working conditions and minimize environmental impacts. Sustainability is a journey that requires constant effort, and every step forward should be celebrated. However, the term "sustainability" has been used to guilt people into buying "green" products and is often perceived as expensive. In reality, everything has a cost, including fast fashion's cheap, poorly made clothing which is often thrown out after being worn once or twice. This has serious environmental and public health consequences. Runge prioritizes sustainability in all production decisions and uses organic and recycled fabrics made ethically to ensure our clothing lasts. While we recognize that the fashion industry has a long way to go in terms of sustainability, we hope to inspire others to make more sustainable choices, no matter how small. In 2023, Runge will take an eco-friendly approach to every drop. We are proud to announce our new 100% recyclable packaging, produced using 100% green energy. We will also prioritize using sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and recycled polyester when producing new items. We will use our remaining shipping bags, before using our new recyclable packaging, to avoid unnecessary waste.
